1.Definition Information Technology: 
-Information technology (IT) is the use of computer hardware and software to store , retrieve and         manipulate information.

2Advantages of Information Technology:

i.To efficiency and effectively access and search for information via the internet.

  • Enable users to access information or unlimited educational resources anytime, anywhere.
ii.Improves communication through communication technology.

  • Communication technology such as smartphones,video conferencing, e-mail, e-fax, and text messaging make communication become easy and efficient.

iii.To manage finances via online banking.

  • Use finance software to balance check books, pay bills, track personal income and expenses, manage investments and evaluate financial plans.
3.Disadvantage of Information Technology:

i.Reduce job opportunity 
  • Technology has replaced most positions which humans used to occupy.
ii.Security breaches.
  • Since users store their data on remote cloud servers which can be access with a username and password, they risk losing data to hacker or viruses.
iii.Health risk
  • Improper computer use can lead to injuries of the hands , wrists, elbows, eyes, neck and back.

a.Supercomputers
  • is the fastest and most powerful type of computer that is capable of processing trillions of instructions per second.
  • Uses of supercomputers: -nuclear energy research, petroleum exploration, weather forecasting, online banking and aerospace research.
b.Mainframe Computers
  • is a large and powerful computer that handles many connected users simultaneously, and used to host a large amount of data and programs.
  • Uses of mainframes: for banks, hotels and Airlines , Insurance companies and hospitals.
c.Personal Computers
  • Is a computer that can perform its input , processing , output and storage activities and designed to be used by one person at a time.
  • Type of personal computer; Dekstop computers, Laptop computers and Tablet computer.
  • Uses of personal computer:home or office environment, web browsing and e-mail and send       instant texts
d.Mobile Computers and Devices
  • A mobile computer:is a portable personal computer , such as laptop or tablet, designed so that a user easily can carry it from place to place.
  • A mobile devices:is a computing device small enough to hold in your hand
e.Embedded computers
  • is a tiny computer embedded into a product to perform specific functions or tasks for that product.
  • Products that contain Embedded computer:consumer electronics, home automation devices and automobiles

Telepharmacy

The use of internet and web sites to provide and support pharmacy .



Telemedicine

Health-care professionals in separate locations conduct live conferences on the computer to perform remote diagnosis of patients.

Telesurgery

Remote surgery, a surgeon perform an operation on a patient who is not located in the same physical room as the surgeon. Surgeon direct robots to perform an operation via computers connected to high-speed work.

The use of computer technology to automate manufacturing functions. Example, CAM is used to build cars, ships and other products.

Navigation system that assists users with determining their location, ascertaining directions and more by using satellite signal.

Car Navigation System

A GPS car system that help users to track routers for specific location.

Online reservation system/ booking system

Transportation and accommodation reservation done through a web site such as online flight ticket booking, online hotel booking or online car reservation.

KMNS

Assalamualaikum,


KMNS


Post yang kedua ialah mengenai Kolej Matrikulasi Negeri Sembilan. KMNS di hatiku..huhu
Sebelum ni, tak pernah terfikir pun untuk masuk matriks ni ,sebab diorang kata matriks ni susah, penat, macam2 lah..Memang diriku pon berhasrat untuk tidak masuk matriks dek kerana takut. Namun , apakan daya keputusan upu yang ditunggukan sedikit menghampakan kerana dapat kos yang kurang diminati iaitu Sains Matematik di UITM Segamat. Oleh hal yang demikian, saya menggagahkan diri dan bersedia untuk ke matriks.Maka bermulalah perjalanan hidupku sebagai pelajar di KMNS ini.

    Pertama sekali, saya  berasa beruntung kerana mendapat bilik yang berdekatan dengan dewan kuliah mahupun kafe iaitu Blok A1, Jauhari. Masih menjadi tanda tanya mengapa blok ini dinamakan Jauhari. Pada hari pertama pendaftaran, saya adalah orang pertama yang memasuki bilik yang ditentukan dan pada hari itu jugalah saya tidak mempunyai roomate . Namun demikian, Alhamdullilah bersyukur kepada Allah kerana bilik dihadapankan merupakan schoolmate ku..Maka,saya tidak risau jika tidur keseorangan pada malam pertama di matriks. Pada malam pertama itu saya ditemani oleh rakan baharu yang bernama Yana yang juga tidak mempunyai roomate serta berasal dari Johor. Saya tidak tahu bagaimana boleh berkenalan dan berani mengajaknya untuk tidur di bilikku meskipun baru sahaja mengenali dirinya.Mungkin dia seorang yang peramah dan baik hati yang membuatkan orang disekelilingnya selesa untuk bergaul dengannya.
  

    Seterusnya,inginku bercerita mengenai roomate ku yang dikenali pada hari kedua ku di matriks.
Kedua-dua roomate ku berasal dari Kuala Lumpur. Pada mulanya, saya merasakan budak bandar ini sombong dan sebagainya. Namun,tafsiran ini salah kerana mereka amatlah baik dan sporting. Pertama, Zura yang pada mulanya agak pendiam..haha..Namun,setelah mengenalinya dia ialah seorang yang amat peramah dan suka bercerita. Setiap hari ada sahaja cerita baru yang ingin diceritakan. Yang kedua pula ,Afiqah yang merupakan satu kuliah denganku. Dia juga seorang yang baik dan peramah . Saya berasa amat bersyukur kerana mempunyai roomate yang baik seperti mereka.
